Life’s A Journey, Isn’t It? (Numbers 33) [08/10/2026]

It’s cool to read about the Israelites’ journeys from Egypt to right beside Canaan, and today, I want to mention how life’s a journey for all of us. I may even mention and review a road trip or two. This chapter is found in pages 100-101 of the NKJV Bible I have for this four-translation project, pages 128-129 of the NASB Bible (Old Testament), pages 201-202 of my VOICE copy, and pages 206-207 of my Amplified Bible (Classic Edition) copy.

I’m glad the first Amplified Bible version didn’t rag on about any sins in a note when I was writing on that last chapter, but I wish they had said something about life being a journey in a footnote in this one… I guess that’s why I now realise the 80s (when that translation was first published) was and remains to this day an intimidating era β€” I may have been born in 1990, but not everything about the 80s was good. There were delusional prosperity preachers everywhere (and this has been the case ever since), abuse was (and still is) worshiped in every block, and Epstein, Trump, Dobson, and Reagan were beginning an unholy alliance, hoping to destroy Christianity by means of child trafficking and call it godliness. Indeed, that may have worked in those days so that God would fight against it until it is no more. But this doesn’t nullify God’s promise to His people, who don’t follow the utterly bankrupt everything in the worldly systems (see 1 John 2:15-17, James 4:1-4, and Romans 12:2) and instead choose love so that miracles may happen. Too bad offence is high enough so that progress is stalled too much, or even reversed.

I guess part of a promise is that we’re sadly on a long trip home, fraught with many evils, disasters, and heartbreak in every corner, and when it comes to if we’ll even get there, we can’t be certain of that all the time, can we? Indeed, as I write this down, I get a text from Oxfam about a devastating earthquake in Colombia πŸ‡¨πŸ‡΄ so I pray for recovery and healing in all the affected areas, even if there’s only a slight impact πŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌβ€οΈβ€πŸ©Ήβ€οΈβ€πŸ©Ήβ€οΈβ€πŸ©Ήβ€οΈβ€πŸ©Ήβ€οΈβ€πŸ©Ήβ€οΈβ€πŸ©Ήβ€οΈβ€πŸ©Ήβ€οΈβ€πŸ©ΉπŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ©·β€οΈπŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ©΅πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ§‘πŸ€ŽπŸ–€πŸ©ΆπŸ€πŸ’žπŸ’•πŸ’“πŸ’—πŸ’˜πŸ’˜πŸ’˜πŸ’˜πŸ’˜πŸ’˜πŸ’˜πŸ’ŒπŸ’ŒπŸ’ŒπŸ’ŒπŸ’ŒπŸ’ŒπŸ’ŒπŸ’ŒπŸ’ŒπŸ’ŒπŸ’ŒπŸ’ŒπŸ’ŒπŸ’Œ I’m sorry that country sits on the Ring of Fire, where violent earthquakes are common and loss and devastation is massive in most cases… I remember Japan had this horrific earthquake and tsunami in 2011 that actually made the Earth’s axis get closer to the Sun β˜€οΈ by about five feet. I posted about it on Tumblr all night long, but sadly, my account has since been deleted 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 and I was beginning to learn about how we’ve been in the last days since Jesus had ascended back to Heaven. I wish safety was common and in every country… the Ring of Fire is, for the most part, where the Pacific Ocean touches land, like California and Chile πŸ‡¨πŸ‡± for those who don’t know.

But enough with my rambling… I feel life often has all sorts of curveballs and unfair surprises, and many people, even the sensible ones, don’t take into account that too many people don’t have a chance to make it to a place where good things may be common and safety is high. That’s why I often pray for hope and revival in mostly underdeveloped nations. At the same time, though, many people in the richer nations think they’re entitled to what they were given or what they received from others, including from God… which is weird, because I don’t own the land I live in, and I pay rent at my place, too. I’d rather not be in a rush to get some property here… nor do I want to chase after anything worldly like money, fame, women, etc. I remember I had a dream about two and a half weeks ago which contained over 1.6 million bucks randomly showing up in my account, and I had some funny clothes on (I don’t really remember what they were haha), and everyone I’ve talked to so far hasn’t said it’s a trap, which I’ve suspected from not long after I had that dream that night. Even some close friends I’ve mentioned this to didn’t get the memo… I guess the Church has been poisoned by prosperity preaching more than I thought. This isn’t to say you shouldn’t get what you need in life, though. Indeed, if it were up to God, no one would be in misery, but everyone would be saved and there’d be affluent places everywhere. For God wants everyone to go to Heaven (1 Timothy 2:3-4) and doesn’t enjoy loss or injustice. Indeed, it’s not your fault if you’ve suffered any! Yet He didn’t want anyone feeling like a robot πŸ€– or a machine with no good mind, so he gave us all free-will to choose Him with, but I’ve seen it go wrong enough for all sorts of people to conclude it was a mistake or something πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“ and that’s what I can never accept… and I don’t even know how soon God actually defends His Name for anyone 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩 I don’t want to believe He’s inactive in His goodness and benevolence 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

If life is indeed a journey, why then does evil often have the upper hand? And why is the Church complicit with most of it? These questions are unanswered, and I’m surprised the true Church still has a way in any region of the world… but I can’t tell if anyone is saved or not… usually when I feel I’m close enough to someone for us to be brothers (or if they’re a lady, like brother and sister), I discover something… disturbing they hold to and won’t let go of. I don’t want to mention my personal history of all I’ve noticed so far, though, mostly because I don’t want to embarrass them… but one friend, Josh, started a weekly Bible study with the Gospel of Matthew a few days ago, and the whole thing’s over the phone πŸ“± πŸ“² ☎️ πŸ“ž πŸ“³ so that’s nice. We started in chapter 4, though, for the first few chapters are really about Jesus’ early life and His baptism. I’ve missed doing things like that… we used to have a men’s Bible study group every week or month on various New Testament books, usually… until one of them started living with his girlfriend and we had to step back because he was living in compromise. But I’m happy to inform you I’ve never done this before and don’t plan to start now in the future. This was in the previous decade, mostly before Josh got married to his wife and before I landed my first job in mid-2017, after I escaped homelessness by Jonathan taking me in to fulfill some of the Lord’s will for me. Life happened after that, though, and eventually the living situation fell apart. But at least I still haven’t gone back into homelessness! Too bad I’m very low on hours at work right now, though πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“ I’d pray for more, but I feel I need to use as much time as I can to rest and write all these Bible notes πŸ“ πŸ“‹ for you guys πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡ I want to experience God’s goodness again, too, and I have a doctor’s appointment on Wednesday anyway.

I guess all I can say from all this is that our lives are like road trips, but at least road trips can be fun 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁 I just wish life could be more enjoyable for more and more people… we’re born into the fight, and victory is never guaranteed. But it took 40 years for Israel to head from Egypt to Canaan, with the entire congregation being at Kadesh (that is, the wilderness) for 38 of these years. The notes πŸ“ πŸ“‹ written into the VOICE translation, for the most part, actually provide good explanations in this chapter, too. And this is an actual good chapter in Numbers, so that’s nice. I’ll see you in chapter 34… we’re nearing the end of this book πŸ“– here.

In Christ,

There’s Too Much Unfaithfulness β€” A Quick Note For Numbers 11-25 (02/26/2026)

If you’re like me, you’ll probably go “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!” when reading most of what’s in these 15 chapters. And I remember trying to steer clear of doing the sins the Israelites had pulled off when I did Bible notes on this for the very first time in late 2012. I discovered the episode when God judges Israel for these things to be in chapter 14, and over the years after that, I found out they weren’t poor like I had been (I’m barely making enough to pay rent this month, but the tax refund was a big help). But this section of Numbers deals with the 40-year waiting period God consigned Israel to due to most of the people being overtly hostile to Caleb and Joshua in response to their plea for hope in Jesus to take Canaan (Numbers 14:10). Indeed, it’s found in pages 85-95 in the NKJV Bible I have for this four-translation project, pages 108-121 in the NASB Bible (Old Testament), pages 173-193 of my VOICE copy (with all its notes πŸ“ πŸ“‹ there’s a lot of them; I should actually comment on each one like I remember saying in the beginning of this journey), and pages 175-196 of my Amplified Bible (Classic Edition) copy.

I don’t have anything to say except that waiting is always frustrating, including in events like this. And if you don’t have the chance to be productive, too bad. Yet this is what Israel forced an entire generation full of those under 20 years old into (given the census in chapter 1; there’s another in chapter 26 after all this) β€” I’m reminded of my own misfortune when reading this, for I was supposed to have graduated πŸŽ“ from ASU in the mid-2010s, but my mom was petty enough to break good laws by lying about me and hiding the truth about it until I realize how bad my grades were one week in the summer after high school (this was in mid-July 2009) β€” what followed was a lot of crap, for lack of a better word. I did become Christian later that same week, but it was too late: I couldn’t clear my name due to me not knowing it was illegal for someone to force me to live somewhere I didn’t want to be… until I went to a mental hospital five years later where I found that out πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“πŸ˜“ I’ve been in a lot of debt ever since. And they don’t want to forgive another one of my loans, even without Trump around. For his return to office over a year ago signaled everlasting doom for even born-again Christians like myself who don’t believe politics is the Gospel, and now, there’s nothing I can do but go back to work every week to basically… watch nothing but defeat at every corner. And most of the people doing this claim to be born-again Christians! For if the country had honoured Jesus, they wouldn’t have reinstated the acceptance of child abuse and the death penalty. And they claim abortion’s worse than both? While I don’t believe in that stuff, either (indeed, Romans 1:30 does say a deprived human being is an inventor of evil), abortion’s been around for less time than the other things had been. I don’t know when it was invented, but I guess they’d rather enforce ye olde-tyme religion instead of acting against anything hateful! πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„ Why do you think Europe’s πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί mostly a lot safer than anything in the U.S.? For the nation’s hovered around 128th place (out of 163 countries in the rankings) of how… SAFE it is compared to the others for nearly a decade, now. They also have no interest in releasing the files that can relieve this generation of the abuse they’ve endured for decades. I don’t know if anymore good will happen here, actually…

I also think the Lord Jesus is now the U.S.A.’s enemy due to all this, and I’m not looking forward to when they do me in because I write the truth on here… but God-willing, I’ll see you in Numbers 11 soon. Later!

Aaron’s Blessing (Numbers 6:22-27) [12/24/2025]

I’m happy to write this post on Christmas Eve night here in Arizona, and while I pray against ICE some more for their terrorism and their false claims they’re making people safe, it wouldn’t be good if I didn’t write something on here for Christmas time β€” it’s my favourite time of the year, and I wish people celebrated it much longer β€οΈπŸ’šβ€οΈπŸ’šβ€οΈπŸ’šβ€οΈπŸ’šβ€οΈπŸ’šβ€οΈπŸ’šβ€οΈπŸ’šβ€οΈπŸ’šβ€οΈπŸ’šβ€οΈπŸ’š it’s easy to forget about Jesus during this time of year, though, which is ironic because Aaron’s blessing, the passage of which is found in page 81 of the NKJV Bible, page 104 of the NASB Bible, page 166 of my VOICE copy, and page 168 of my Amplified Bible (Classic Edition) copy, is for Jesus’ benefit and for ours as well, and I’m still like, “How long has it been since the vast majority of all the churches on Earth have done anything but exalt religion while denying Him?” (See 2 Timothy 3:5.) But may this Christmas be a blessing to all mankind, especially for the little ones, like my four nieces (here’s something worth mentioning: I got to meet my nieces’ half-sister on the 7th!) β€” Russia NEEDS to give up many of the things on how they treat children on Christmas (they beat them down if their parents didn’t like their conduct, whether good or bad, I guess) β€” anyone publicly threatening to do this, especially at Christmas time, the Lord Jesus has decided to curse them, since they’ve repeated the pattern in Isaiah 66:3-4 that never ends for those who reject Him. I can’t believe it still needs to be said, but whoever does this to anyone under 18 regardless of how they know them β€” they’re like one who rapes dogs and records it all on live TV. I don’t think that should be legal in any case, for it’s making sex slaves out of these people… but thankfully, God is able to prevent that πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ«ΆπŸΌπŸ«ΆπŸΌπŸ«ΆπŸΌπŸ«ΆπŸΌπŸ«ΆπŸΌπŸ«ΆπŸΌ

The second-longest chapter of the Bible is up next, but I don’t feel it’s necessary to write on that right now. For I hope to enjoy Christmas with my family as we’re all in Tucson for the rest of the week, beginning tomorrow afternoon. And if I get to go bowling with a couple of friends again… let’s hope they can beat me πŸ˜…πŸŽ³ so without further ado, merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
