These first five words are in the note in the VOICE version of this chapter after it is over, and the “Glory of Israel” title is an epithet of the Lord God (see 1 Samuel 15:29). Indeed, wealth is easy to worship, and that’s not right. I’ve actually said in a bus 🚌 one time years ago that money 💰 is weird, and the other passengers doubted this at first, but soon, some of them agreed. It truly is a shame that the evil one is popular when it comes to this stuff… and indeed, Psalm 49:12 (and verse 20 there) mention that a human in his/her pomp yet without understanding is like the beasts that perish, like cattle, even, according to the Greek translation for that psalm. But this chapter is found in page 108 of the NKJV Bible I have for this four-translation project, pages 138-139 of the NASB Bible (Old Testament, 1995 version), page 218 of my VOICE copy (the note 📝 📋 after this chapter, again, is found in pages 218-219 there), and pages 222-223 of my Amplified Bible (Classic Edition) copy.
I have a lot to say in this chapter, but I feel I’ve already written a lot on here about many things concerning the worship of money 💰 and power 😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬 regardless, whenever I see a Trump supporter, something snaps, and I instantly go into this-guy’s-a-falsehood-lover-and-can’t-be-unhappy-about-abusing-children mode. I never say anything out loud, but I usually mention my concerns to a friend, either at work or via text to someone I know. These heretics who have managed to infest everything in what’s left of the Church here are the same who make idols out of gratitude and then turn tail and claim money is never what Satan offers to keep people in line and be silent about everything. They also lie about him never accusing someone of pride, which makes me think about 1 Samuel 17 and how David went out to battle Goliath but one of his arrogant older brothers ridiculed him for doing this, claiming David was prideful, divisive, and unrepentant, hoping to break him so that he’d run off like everyone else. And lying is very hateful and thus un-Christian, exemplifying the reality of Proverbs 10:18 and 1 John 3:15. Anyone who does this while claiming to follow Jesus may only be an NPC.
And another thing: why is gratitude worshiped? I already assumed it was good to put gratitude itself into practice. Yet if it’s seen as a means to an end, whoever has this outlook is like Asa in 2 Chronicles 14-16, for he did several good things during most of his rule, but in the end, he proved to only be pretending to follow Jesus and imprisoned someone for trying to encourage humility (2 Chronicles 16:10). He even avoided seeking God for his diabetes (according to a commentator of a study Bible in verse 12 there), but sought healing from physicians instead. And while I didn’t set out to see one for my own story of almost becoming diabetic, I haven’t gotten my blood sugar checked in the three years since finding out I had reversed course on it increasing 📈➡️📉 I did have a very bad 2022, though. I don’t want to mention anything about it, however… it’s kind of old news, now. Yet I posted something on Facebook this afternoon about how my one friend had killed themselves and that I still find it hard to believe I’m not responsible for it even after more than 50 months without them… I hadn’t seen them since college, and I sometimes check an old friend’s Facebook profile to see if he/she has posted something on there lately. I haven’t messaged three people yet — I pray God helps me not get all weird with them, male or female alike.
Verse 3 in this chapter (Deuteronomy 8) deserves a shoutout, for it was quoted by none other than Jesus Himself, and so were two other verses in this book, all in Matthew 4 and Luke 4. In both cases, the Scriptures are the same. But verse 5 is something I think is also an idol in the “churches” 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 which begs the question, how is Christian parenting supposed to work? I already assumed all my life that just as God doesn’t punish His children, neither should we. And I was born in 1990, so I don’t ever intend on modifying this truth. However, a false Jesus showed up to North America long before He would come to me or even Rachel Scott (she sadly died in her Colorado high school in 1999 at the age of 17 for being faithful to Jesus and never denying Him), which would explain the fact that abuse has always been rampant and perhaps even sovereign here 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️ they’re even reversing good progress in greater levels than in the 60s! And yes, I really do believe Jesus isn’t popular here, for if He were, kindness and safety would be abundant, and Trump wouldn’t have been in power. Yet you’ll need to be very underhanded to win an election, and that’s not a route I want you or anyone else to take. It’s great to implement good ideas, but the reality is, politics is worldly, just as 1 John 2:15 says that if anyone loves the world, the love of God isn’t in them. I am glad I bought a 13-year-old snowglobe from Goodwill this morning, though, and for just $4. But if I get anymore Christmas knick-knacks, I’ll have too many 😅😅 lol 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 I really do believe we need Christmas to be good for everyone, regardless of where they’re from. But last December, some [expletive] decided to publicly threaten to beat her little human for running in the store without caring about Christmas for him and for the others! This cursed child of Hell he’s trapped under won’t be forgiven. Indeed, God will judge the mom for this, and He will never forget or forgive her sins. For this was an… attack against Him, instigated by none other than the devil himself. People like this only want to wrong enough of the Lord’s creation and those who love it into believing they’re worthless! And the “church” loves them for it! But now I know why this illegal thinking is popular: they think Jesus hates the vulnerable and is primarily concerned about protecting an image that He didn’t have in mind. Such specimen are literally unable to do anything besides take His Name in vain!
But what would you say if I told you Jesus’ first concern wasn’t telling children how to behave? For the good behaviour thing with housework and good grades in school thing — it’s entirely a false gospel! I remember the Two Rivers pastor had said this in a sermon I attended once a few years back. Yet he later exalted Charlie Kirk as if he were a martyr (he actually died talking about his politics), so while I do believe it was of the Holy Spirit that the pastor had said these things in 2023, I can’t rely on his or any other U.S. church leader’s guidance anymore — I need to explore Christianity from other countries. Even if I can’t ever get to one, at least I can still watch messages from places like the U.K. 🇬🇧 the Netherlands 🇳🇱 Australia 🇦🇺 and even Malaysia 🇲🇾 (I haven’t played any messages from that nation yet; I think it’s illegal for me to follow Jesus there still, but I pray for repentance anyway). I might as well utilise this while I can still watch YouTube videos legally; they may enforce pro-MAGA content soon, and I don’t want to imbibe this. I’d love to see it crash and burn like how a temple collapses in an Indiana Jones movie. But when it comes to preparing my heart for when to eradicate more good freedoms, I’d rather play godly stuff with my guitar 🎸 no matter how much I suck at it right now. At least it’ll help me remember Jesus all the better 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I do think if we have enough wealth, we should be generous with it. This is what Moses implicitly encourages here. He actually spells it out in Deuteronomy 15:7-11, and I’ve loved it since I first noticed what the passage said. Maybe I’ll do a separate note 📝 📋 on that in the future. But for now, I need to finish up here and hope I don’t go to sleep too late tonight to prepare for three 8 a.m. maintenance shifts in a row. I have an alarm set, but it doesn’t seem right if I’m late for anything… at least, however, I think I managed to erase one of my tardies at work because it’s been over three months since one had happened, and I was late only once after that. My next shift isn’t until Thursday morning, but I’m feeling pretty pooped already, and I want my heart to be in the game. I will get a new therapist next month, though. Maybe they’ll help me cope with anything profoundly manipulative.
In Christ,
Ron Outland
