Moses here recounts the events of Numbers 16 โ you can click here for what I wrote on it. This passage is found in page 110 of the NKJV Bible I have for this four-translation project, page 141 of the NASB Bible (Old Testament, 1995 version), pages 221-222 of my VOICE copy, and pages 225-226 of my Amplified Bible (Classic Edition) copy. What I want to say on this, though, I don’t understand this or the next chapter too well, and if you’re expecting professional Bible commentary on my blog, you’ll be SORELY mistaken ๐๐๐ ๐ lol sorry ๐๐๐๐๐๐ but it is a command to love God as He loves all of us. However, the Lord Jesus hadn’t come yet, and the Israelites needed help in believing Him. Yet the Holy Spirit was active in the people’s lives then, at least in terms of making unqualified people influential and godly. Regardless, the Lord’s Temple still wouldn’t be built for another 440 years or so (see 1 Kings 6:1 for when this started; c. 965 B.C.) โ we don’t need one now, though, for the veil was torn from top to bottom when Jesus died (Matthew 27:51), signifying God’s presence now being available to everyone. I wonder what it would’ve been like for me to experience any generation in the first 12 books of the Bible โ Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Boaz and Ruth, his wife (see the book of Ruth), David, Solomon, even Hezekiah and Josiah, those two being three generations apart. I’m still glad I can rest right now, knowing I’m on vacation from work for the next week and that MAGA was disrupted more than ever by God Himself. But the people won’t want Jesus to return when He does (see Revelation 19:11-16), for hate and greed will have been at an all-time high, and the birds will eat them (see Revelation 19:17-21 for the great supper of God). Gruesome, right? I know He’s not looking forward to when they are rejected โ God doesn’t do anything adverse from His heart (Lamentations 3:33). I want to elaborate on this more…
It was of God’s goodness He gave the descendants of Abraham the land west of the Jordan, though. Moses was thrilled to let them have it as he was giving the very long sermon in this book ๐ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ผ โบ๏ธ ๐ I don’t think He enjoys severity… I realise I can’t debunk the idea that God’s angry easily ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ I don’t want to believe that severity precedes His goodness… I want to go to more places where kindness is often celebrated ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ if the U.S. ranks even lower in safety next year, too, I won’t be surprised. It’s already in the top 30 most dangerous nations to live in (out of 163 considered for the rankings), and, for the most part, mortal peril has only increased here since 2016 when it was 25 positions higher in the safety rankings. I wonder if other Christians in other nations have gotten word of this… I do pray love, hope, and forgiveness for those who aren’t heterosexual and/or are transgender, though โ I don’t want them to believe God is willing to forget them ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ but I’ve probably done worse than they have before I knew Jesus. I hate it. I think it would be more pardonable to be about the butt sex than if I were to be a typical cis-straight guy. I hope I can love the people who read this post, including the WordPress staff, for I don’t want to offend them so that John WordPress would drop the hammer and make it so that I can’t write Bible notes anymore… I sorta think you can be “homosexual” and still be Christian anyways, male or female. I don’t understand why the American “Christians” harp on it so much, though… it’s so not right. That’s why the world is running away from Jesus. For His love is nowhere to be found in their hearts, and they treat His goodness as if it weren’t given to the LGBT+ people. I don’t think that’s right.
I should take it easy on the Bible note ๐ writing right now lol ๐ ๐ ๐ oh, I forgot to mention, as a result of this week’s election results in the states where this occurred, the evil one’s going to create all sorts of division among the non-MAGA people (such as myself) in the hope the “Christians” get all fired up and kill us all, as their ancestors had done in the East Coast over 400 years ago and in other places since then… we Christians should really avoid political stuff of any kind, especially the Trump nonsense. Those who don’t โ God won’t allow them into Heaven. For the “gay Christian” idea or even the “smoking-tree-bark Christian” thing aren’t quite as oxymoronic as a hateful “Christian” is. I don’t want to smoke anything, though. Abortion’s not something I want to pull off, either, but I don’t want to disrupt the love of God for those who know the “Christians” have hijacked the truth that it isn’t right. Yet abortion, weed-smoking, and butt sex for me is forgivable, thankfully, likewise with others. I’m always like, “O God, forgive [them]! How can they stand before you in judgment? No one can fight You and win!” โ akin to Amos 7:1-6 when he saw two visions after many prophecies of judgment for northern Israel. Again, I don’t like how the politicians have hijacked all this, and so have their followers, who have abolished the love and kindness of Jesus in their hearts (like in Romans 11:22) so that their souls’ only hope is total world domination, with or without their illicit desire to use the Bible to get this sick goal (see Jude 3-16). I don’t want to do this. I’m not a Trump supporter anyway. And yes, I still want to unify the other non-Trump humans in Jesus, for left and right isn’t the Gospel; only He can save us (Acts 4:12). But He’s enough for all mankind, so that’s nice I’m sorry if I offended someone, though (I just thought to write that down haha). I just hate how the politicians have hijacked Christianity enough in their antagonism of LGBT humans, foreigners, the younger humans, and those who would love them as Jesus does… this shouldn’t be allowed. They’d even eat puppies! This is why God judged Korah and 253 others in Numbers 16, as Moses recounts here, as I’ve already said. For their hearts pursued sordid gain, and if they were alive in our time, God would’ve told all His people to give them a wide berth, since their thinking is similar to the politicians here.
It’s after 11 p.m. where I live, now, so I’ll let you read this and have at me when you do. Besides, my aim for this blog isn’t to rebuke homosexuality or get rich, but it’s to glorify Jesus, for faith working through love counts for everything (see Galatians 5:6). I’ll see you in the next post!
In Christ,
Ron Outland
