When I read this passage in the VOICE translation, too, I notice God said the Israelites had a good idea (verse 28 (VOICE))! I think that was living out of Hebrews 11:6, for without faith it’s impossible to please Him. Cool, ain’t it? This passage is found in page 107 of the NKJV Bible I have for this four-translation project, page 137 of the NASB Bible (Old Testament), page 215 of my VOICE copy, and page 219 of my Amplified Bible (Classic Edition) copy.
I really should apologise for my lack of posting in the last few weeks; my last post was just minutes ago, but I hadn’t posted anything since August 23rd, as the date for the blog shows (and so does the post title). But God didn’t want anyone afraid of Him; indeed, even Moses was terrified of Him, as Hebrews 12:21 says. It was quite a theophany, the experience on Mount Sinai (see Exodus 19). But soon, Moses would get into the Shema and elaborate on all God had said in Exodus 20:1-17. Yet no one can see God and live, as He’d later say (Exodus 33:20). However, because Jesus came down to Earth to save it (John 3:17), we don’t need to be afraid of death. Too bad offence can hamper His presence, though.
It’s good not to turn towards the right or left of God’s path for all of us (verse 32), but we need His help to stay on the straight and narrow, for no one can save themselves. I know; I’ve tried, and apart from the Scriptures! I should’ve known better… I’m not sure what you’re facing but hopefully you can believe God because of His matchless love for you and those you’re related to. I don’t expect anything promising, though… indeed, the extreme barbarian stuff ICE is responsible for actually makes me think Jesus ISN’T king over the nation, for Trump kicked Him out, this time for good. For the U.S. had plenty of time to repent from what he’s now repeating, and freedom hasn’t been this low here since the 60s. I think I’ll need to hide from them when they come for me… and yes, I can see that God is actually fighting the country because the people had wanted wickedness claiming to be Christian mandated. But when they do this, I’ll refuse because I love Him. I pray He helps me stand against those who’d drag me down to their level while they hope that forgiveness is erased from the world. I think I’m only buying myself time from another dreadful demise…
I don’t know much about the next chapter, but that’s OK. I’ll see you there, though!
In Christ,
Ron Outland
