It’s wild how this chapter, found in page 98 of the NKJV Bible I have for this four-translation project, page 125 of the NASB Bible (Old Testament), pages 197-198 of my VOICE copy, and page 202 of my Amplified Bible (Classic Edition) copy, that vows made by women were often null and void by chauvinistic alpha males in Israel, but thank God He mentioned these women will be forgiven in most cases. Regardless, I don’t want to force anyone to make a promise 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I’ve never done it, and I hope to never start now, including even by complete accident ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹 I don’t trust myself with any kids or even a significant other, really… I sometimes don’t even want to BE a guy, for I have four nieces, and I often fear I’ll do anything they’ll regret seeing me do, even if I’m as careful as I can be to the best of my knowledge… but at least God put it on the husband if he had annulled the vows after hearing them (verse 15). Yet everyone gets to have good autonomy 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 of which I cannot go into detail right now, so I’m sorry for the delays, for I don’t know how to explain it, and when I try, I often feel very overwhelmed about it.
Even though it says in this chapter God wouldn’t hold it against a woman or a girl for making a rash vow, the fact they couldn’t really have a say in things is something He never wanted. Of course, women’s rights were practically nonexistent in those days, even for Israel, but they wanted dead religion, given the contents of Exodus 15-17 and God’s response in the midst of it, so He decided to give them up to a fruitless system. Jesus died to set us free from that (see Galatians 3:13), and this option is available to everyone. But the children of the devil have been bruising the Church ⛪️ since Acts 5:1-11, and while they hadn’t been able to do much in the first 30 years of church history, the fact several later New Testament books rebuke the same heresies tells me the false teachers had already claimed the Church as their prize, even before Scripture was finished. But thank God for 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 and Revelation 22:14-15 for the explanation of Jesus’ parable of the wheat and tares in Matthew 13:37-43 being fleshed out! (Man, that’s a mouthful; sorry for the run-on sentence haha 😄 😆 😅 I guess I was going for comic relief?) This is something else I don’t need to explain any further, given how most of my Leviticus posts from up to a few years ago say what I’m writing now.
I will say this, though: how do the people who love Jesus in nations that don’t celebrate women but have decided to disregard them or anyone else from good opportunities because they exist feel about this?! I’ve noticed some others come from restricted nations to do life here in the U.S., but for some reason, many of them think they have to follow people like Trump and Doug Wilson! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 And the latter is a top heretic, for he’s a proclaimer of “Christian” nationalism, which 120 million Americans have embraced like Scripture. I feel defiled just thinking about it! Jesus will see to it that all these antagonists who hate God and are angry at Him because of His goodness towards others — they will pay for their sins in Hell (see Isaiah 45:24), and He will forget them entirely (like in Jeremiah 23:39; see also Isaiah 65:17).
