I Should Take A Sabbatical… A Flight To Paradise By Means Of Leviticus 25 (08/28/2025)

When reading this chapter, I noticed there’s a lot of regulations for the year of Jubilee, and I can’t follow any of them without slipping up sooner or later. Even if I do a good job of what I imagine I’m skilled with, I won’t be able to observe all this super good. But I love the concept of a year-long sabbatical every 50 years! This NEVER happens in this world anymore, even in northern Europe or New Zealand 🇳🇿 and I want to implement this every 20 years in several places of this world (but I’m not a good speaker, and God’s Word doesn’t have much popularity anywhere) — perhaps Christmas is the next best thing? I still need at least a month off work every year or two, and I’d rather seek that in Norway 🇳🇴 where I heard a tuition-free university opened up for all applicants of any financial background 🎓🏫💯 I pray for hope, love, and joy for all the people going there 💕💝💖🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🤎🖤🩶🤍💗💗💗💗💗 and if anyone wants to follow Jesus honestly, I pray for a good opportunity for them to seek Him 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I don’t think Israel had much schooling in the days of Moses, but this chapter is found in pages 73-74 of the NKJV Bible, pages 94-95 of the NASB Bible (Old Testament, 1995 version), pages 153-155 of my VOICE copy, and pages 152-154 of my Amplified Bible (Classic Edition) copy.

The chapter begins with an overview of the year of Jubilee, starting off with a year of Sabbath rest for the whole country (verse 5), which I’m convinced the people began to be legalistic about after the 70-year exile, ranging from C. 605-536 B.C. (Jeremiah 25:11; sorry for the spoilers) during Jesus’ time — but everyone was allowed to eat anything edible during that year (verse 6). And I wonder, does Jesus want that today? Hopefully more good things like this are implemented in more places, but the likelihood of ANY nation doing this is close to zero. Yet all debts are to be gone because of verse 10, and they should’ve kept it up from the first time any head of state had declared forgiveness for all debts (like my student loans), but they declared it all unconstitutional, which is unbiblical — the Lord Jesus warned all the voters not to have the law of Moses mandated throughout the world (and I mean the unforgiving parts Jesus never wanted), and most of them gave no heed.

I love the truth of selling and dealing honestly in verses 14-17… but it’s not right that they’ve taken quite a few requirements of being thoroughly honest away by now (one thing I noticed years ago was that both Fry’s and Safeway say that after a certain time in the evening, they claimed the hot rotisserie chickens 🐔🐓 were free, but I guess there was a disclaimer… I don’t know, it didn’t seem right the ad didn’t say anything about the chickens being the same price even at like 10 p.m. — they’ve since stopped saying that though) — I think dishonest business will be even more commonplace, and that means that more and more scams will be legal, and not just the MLM nonsense they’ve passed around like weed-smokers passing a blunt to one another 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️ all because the U.S. now loves deception more than ever and wants to enforce lies 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔 I’ll probably be told not to post anymore if enough people see this, too… and the whole world will follow them, just like they had done with COVID-19!

I also love how God says in verse 21 in response to someone’s question about if crops aren’t planted in one of the 7th years prior to the Jubilee (there’s seven of them between Jubilees, so it only makes sense for one year to be a Jubilee and the other 49 to be rather ordinary), “Don’t worry. I will direct My blessing to come to you during the sixth year so that the land will produce three years’ worth of crops in that one year” (VOICE). And speaking of which, I pray for this to happen sevenfold in all of Africa 🌍 for 60% of the world’s resources are in these lands, but most people there are super poor, and the leaders take like everything for themselves. Indeed, they’ve been broke too long. But one story I love is about a guy in Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 who became a doctor because he had accidentally injured his friend playing basketball 🏀 there, and the country had like no doctors. So he became the first neurosurgeon in Sierra Leone’s history, and he’s on track to continue repeatedly uplifting its entire population of ~8 million people 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 I pray for more brilliant minds in Africa to be unlocked so they can follow their dreams instead of being surpressed by people who claimed to be supportive but sabotaged everything last minute so it would fail and possibly the entire family is perpetually divided 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 indeed, extreme poverty is a nightmare, as God details in verses 25-46 concerning this… but talking about it will only bring up bad memories for me, and it’s not God’s will that they can’t get what they need from Him. It’s nice that a rich guy can help his family out, though, even a distant relative (verses 47-54). And I want to do this with my nieces if I become debt-free in the future.
