I’m reading this chapter in the VOICE copy again and I’m noticing it’s a really complicated procedure… I can never pull this off. But what’s ⅔ of a pint (16 oz.) in metric? I feel it’s about 300 mL… oh, well… anyway, this chapter is found in pages 65-67 of the NKJV Bible I’m using for this project, pages 84-86 of the NASB Bible I’m using for this project, pages 139-141 of my VOICE copy, and pages 136-139 of my Amplified Bible (Classic Edition) copy.
There’s leniency for the poor here, like in verse 21 (that’s one verse I noticed ⅔ of a pint in the VOICE translation), but Jesus paid for everyone’s sins, healing, and restoration. Sometimes, I feel that’s a forgotten truth… but God did explain another procedure in verses 33-57 about different outbreaks… verses 43-44 say that if there’s another outbreak of something like a virus, the priest must enter the house where it occurs and inspect it again, so I don’t think the Israelites would’ve been able to live with this (Acts 15:10, also Ezekiel 20:25). The house was to be destroyed if that happened (verse 45) — we don’t need that now, since Hebrews 7:1-10:18 explains why we live under the new covenant.
A bit off-topic, one or two of my candy canes keeps falling down from the little Christmas tree I had bought online a couple of years ago when I was living with Jonathan… I think I should replace all six of them with the other six I had gotten (this was part of a 12-pack I bought last Christmas season — I don’t want to eat any of them too quickly, though). And just think: this occurs every year, even in countries where it’s illegal to celebrate Jesus or even Christmas Day, so you can at least take comfort in that while it’s election season, wherever you are in the world. Too bad the evil one can put his own laws in any country, though. When that happens, especially if righteousness is criminalized, we need to pray against the regime and work God’s will when He mentions it each day, so that blessing can happen. But it’s not happening in the U.S. due to multiple issues, especially the criminalization of homelessness here, and as the months go by over the next year or two alone, who knows what the unjust leaders can pull off? And don’t take this as insignificant. For just as God had removed His blessing from Israel when they rejected Jesus (Matthew 23:38 (VOICE)), so He has forsaken the U.S. due to injustice being enforced. It’s a war against the poor and humble, and we don’t seem to be doing too well… but as usual, I’ll be back soon with Leviticus 15 about bodily discharges… this one will be a wild ride 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳
