Even More Of What God Never Wanted But Demonstrated As A Shadow Of Things To Come (Part 3): Leprosy — Leviticus 13 (08/19/2024)

This long chapter is full of pitiful details about leprosy, and it was so devastating that no one with it could be with their families, even if there was actually mutual love between all the household members. Indeed, these laws concerning it were what the Israelites wanted, so that proved to be painful for everyone, and if one hadn’t heard of Jesus or God doing miracles, they probably would’ve rejected Him if they saw it happening. Yet, Jesus tells us a different story in passages like Matthew 8:2-4 💗💗💗💗💗💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💝💝💝💝💝 and I’ve heard of multiple people I work with get sick suddenly; I’m not sure what’s going on but I pray healing for the diseases they’ve got. This chapter is found in pages 64-65 of the NKJV Bible I have, pages 82-84 of the NASB Bible I have, pages 137-139 of my VOICE copy, and pages 134-136 of my Amplified Bible (Classic Edition) copy.

For those who don’t know, leprosy was contagious in the days of Moses, and was rarely, if ever, head over the centuries up until Jesus came down. It was like tuberculosis in the mid-20th century, or even like AIDS (auto-immune deficiency syndrome) in the 1990s, but now, treatment is available for both, and I’ve even heard a few stories of people getting cured for HIV (the virus that causes AIDS, but is thankfully not contagious), so that’s encouraging! I pray for healing for those involved, you know? Indeed, when was the last time you noticed someone with a sexually transmitted disease (STD)? I hope no one reading this goes to an environment where this is even a little bit easy to find, but I pray for freedom for those who have one. For it’s not right that someone had likely bullied most of these so they’d get an STD or two (I don’t want to go into details) but the Church needs to be an agent for good to these men and women. Yet, there’s people in every community creating broken and divided homes, resulting in shattered lives. It’s especially true for the churches that turn a blind eye to those suffering among us. For even though the Church is meant to change the world, instead, there seems to be nothing but compliance in everyone’s homes, and to a cheap version of godliness (see 2 Timothy 3:5). I know I can’t possibly say I’m clean of any sins (Proverbs 20:9). Indeed, I want to enjoy Jesus, but worldly people pretending to follow Him are getting in the way (Jude 19, also Galatians 5:23b (The Message)).

This was rather a short post about multiple diseases, but prayer is always encouraged. Still, I don’t want it to turn into some kind of religious faux pas… but since rent went up for me last month, I pray I can save money, but given what I’ve said before concerning my struggle for financial freedom (I still don’t have the maintenance job; I’ve been trying to get it for several months but to no avail), even if things were more centered in Jesus for all of us, I don’t stand a chance. For it won’t be long until I have nowhere else to go… and with the secrets I’ve discovered about the U.S. government being authoritarian due to them wanting to enforce unforgiveness… I think Satan knows about this. But hopefully, I see you in the next chapter!
