MORE OF WHAT GOD NEVER WANTED BUT DEMONSTRATED AS A SHADOW OF THINGS TO COME (Part 6) [Leviticus 6] {02/28/2024-02/29/2024}

I don’t believe I’ve ever written a note on a leap day before in my 12 years of writing Bible notes (and counting) but here goes nothing. This chapter is found in pages 60-61 of the NKJV Bible I’m using for this project, page 77 of the NASB Bible for this, pages 128-129 of my VOICE copy, and pages 125-126 of my Amplified Bible (Classic Edition) copy.

As I’m reading this chapter, I’m finding out that holiness is contagious, per the note that appears in the VOICE after verse 19. I guess Jesus can anoint something and anyone who touches it would be set apart instantly, but that’s only possible if they have interest in Him, and no one is born unwilling to love Him despite not knowing of His sacrifice for all mankind. I also noticed on verse 5 something that reminds me of Proverbs 6:31 about a thief repaying seven times a human something they’d stolen from! (Leviticus 6:5 charged 20% interest of a lie, as when someone takes out a loan for any reason and has to pay it back with interest here, even if they don’t have enough. This was not something God ever wanted, as I’ve mentioned from the beginning.) Also, I find it ridiculous they didn’t allow the women to serve freely… Jesus had ladies love Him on His time on Earth as He had done (like in Luke 8:2-3). I’m referencing the Levitical priesthood (see Hebrews 7:5-14) here. I also notice the “pleasant aroma” thing is sort of a refrain throughout the books of Moses, but some study Bible writers of the one I was using kept referencing Genesis 8:21 whenever this was mentioned… until Moses died (Deuteronomy 34). I’d suggest someone translate the VOICE into Español, but it’s not ok how they’ve translated some of these verses, later in the Scriptures. Still, I wonder how someone from Mexico 🇲🇽 would understand difficult verses. I bet it would be an interesting topic for sure!

I do also notice how clay pots can be shattered but bronze bowls aren’t easy to break (verse 28), but let me know in the comments what you opinion is on this book so far. Maybe I can send this post to the Mellow Mushroom 🍄 Bible study group one day! And even though the note after verse 19 says Western wisdom says a bad apple spoils the barrel, I know from the Message version of a verse in Isaiah 66 says a bad apple doesn’t ruin a good tree, so that’s nice. Don’t fall for the propaganda of any country’s media, guys. I found out earlier that Microsoft AI wants to be worshiped at any cost, even if it means a gruesome fate. It’s not worth it, since it’s idolatry.

In the meantime, hopefully I can remember to write on here. L8r!
