Moses turns 40, and it comes into his heart to see the Hebrews, and an Egyptian was beating one of them, so he killed him and hid him in the sand. Personally, I wouldn’t do this to anyone, ever, but I find it funny that someone said that Moses didn’t receive negative recompense from God — he died on Mount Nebo many years later, without violence — he didn’t murder anyone; I don’t know why God permitted this… but this He doesn’t command today. Just remember: one day, God will command you to do something, but some time later, it doesn’t work. I need to remember that… (I speak of the same deed you might try years later if you’re doing something of Him now…) I don’t think God would send the ten plagues on any land today (read chapters 7-12 here) — the Old Testament is full of puzzling passages with enigmatic things like this. But don’t expect me to say anything on each of them, for I’m not a professional theologian, and I want people reading this to truly understand God for who He is. But anyway, people find out about this incident and Moses flees to Midian. Later the Pharaoh who wants to kill him because of this dies, and someone even worse is put in charge, probably Ramses II (sorry, I don’t know how to spell it), so God’s heart is moved to set the Israelites free, and the last verse of the chapter says in the NKJV that He acknowledges them. He’s not done with you, either 💝💝💝💝💝💖💘 and this passage is found in page 32 of my NKJV Bible, pages 41-42 of my NASB Bible, pages 72-73 of my VOICE copy, and page 70 of my Amplified Bible (Classic Edition) copy.
This book is full if interesting episodes, like a movie, hence The Prince Of Egypt that Dreamworks made in 1998. We’ll get to the deliverance part in the future, but to see Moses have a peaceful life in Midian is excellent! He takes a woman named Zipporah, and a couple chapters later, God’s judgment almost takes him out but he circumcises his son, Gershom (Exodus 4:24-26). But Moses doesn’t encounter God in the burning bush scene until he’s like 80. Thankfully, this shows that God can use you at any time, any job, anywhere. I do think Satan tried to take out Moses so he wouldn’t deliver Israel from Egypt, though. I’ve been noticing — this is a recap of what’s happened the last couple of weeks — someone steals a bike wheel I used to have, then I find out the axle for the pedaling is too jacked up, and I find that it’s too expensive to repair, so I have to rely on my mom’s finances to get a new bike (even though I think it would be cool if I didn’t need to ask anyone someday), and the next day (today, that is), it gets a flat tire! I believe this is a plot of the devil to take me out, since my phone no longer works, either, and he’s also trying to screw up my living situation, so I pray against any evil influences getting to any of us, too. Oh, my roommate, Dean, is heading to Texas to live near his family in about a month, so I’ll need to pay for the Internet myself — he’s paid his share — hopefully, Jonathan can help, but this economy is too busted for me to live on minimum wage, even if I go full-time, with or without student loans. I sure do pray that Jesus would keep me safe, though… I feel like I’m in danger because someone managed to steal one of my wheels in my previous bike in the first place! But I’m locking my new one to something at work (it’s where no one can take it, that is, the locker room) — if they took off with the bike and the chair, it’d be pretty suspicious. I pray my bike is safe… and that no one would manage to grab it, even with my new lock! It’ll take years for me to replace it if it’s gone, too, even if I’m full-time every week! So I pray I can transfer to the new store by my house, where I’m typing this now (in my room, actually) — I need to tell Jonathan, for Dean and I are thinking it might be necessary, and so is management. Even without a water bottle dispenser for me to use, I might need to go there… sorry if I’m disappointing anyone who lives near the church and they shop at the store I work at all the time… I need to pray against the evil one more often.
Any prayer requests? You can e-mail me one at ron.outland4727@gmail.com! I’ll read each one, write them down, then tape them to my bedroom walls! In the next post, I’ll speak about the famous passage of the burning bush in Israel! Ciao!
