I love how the VOICE starts this chapter with the words “One day” — there’s something good about those words, like something legendary happens right out of the blue. I don’t have much to say about this, but I can mention that powerful people wanted Moses dead, and yet the Pharaoh’s daughter loved him as if he were her own son, since she took so much delight in him 😭😭😭👩👦👯♀️ I don’t think this happens much in this world, but I love how Jesus told the woman to adopt Moses and name the boy this. This passage is found in page 32 of my NKJV Bible, page 41 of my NASB Bible, page 72 of my VOICE copy, and pages 69-70 of my Amplified Bible (Classic Edition) copy.
I love footnote b of that last version on verse 4, for it says, “They launched the ark not only on the Nile but on God’s providence. He would be Captain, Steersman, and Convoy of the tiny ark. Miriam stood to watch. There was no fear of fatal consequences, only the quiet expectancy that God would do something worthy of Himself. They reckoned on God’s faithfulness and they were simply rewarded when the daughter of their greatest foe became the babe’s patroness (F. B. Meyer, Through The Bible Day by Day).” The Hebrew for “ark” there is the same as in Noah’s story in Genesis 6-8, as the VOICE version teaches us (but in that version, it’s called basket — weird) I actually find a similarity on the current events and how God may be working… why do you think the culture is trying to repress many people under 34? They know God is up to something, and they want to shut Him down! I still remember back in January that the woman named Anita (in her mid-70s, by the way) believes it’s unfair that violence plagues my generation so much for no good reason and I would completely agree. Remember when I wrote that? It’s ok if no one does 😂😂😂😂😂 but in the U.S., I’ll have to be married if I want to adopt any kids. It can be a man or a woman, but I’d rather go with a lady who loves Jesus in my age group. Also (I hope not to disappoint anybody), God told me back in early 2014 as I was working on 1 John for the first time that I should avoid taking a wife or having any children here in the U.S., for things are getting too terrible by now to have any children, and I (or at least one of them) may not make it. Their mom might even be raped repeatedly 🤬🤬🤬 I don’t think it’s worth it to risk it. I’m serious. Literally. The system’s too crazy for anyone to make it out of the rat race unless you’re somehow given a lot from like out of the blue — the rat race is having less passive income than expenses and most people don’t make it out — why waste your time? For it’s better to have a heavenly hope than anything in this world. Much better, even if your life is cut short by persecution, legal or otherwise. I read a story about a woman who went to Syria for healthcare or something helpful like this, but she was murdered for her faith in Jesus. But her parents didn’t believe forgiveness was a good idea, for they want military action instead of Gospel-preaching… I can tell by their attitude on a YouTube ad I saw a little while ago.
But do you want prayer for anything? Send me an e-mail to ron.outland4727@gmail.com! I’ll read each letter, write any good requests down, then tape them to my bedroom walls! I’ll see you soon when I write on the second half of this chapter… this is going to be interesting.
