This section of Exodus, found in pages 32-40 of my NKJV Bible, pages 41-52 of my NASB Bible, pages 71-90 of my VOICE copy, and pages 69-86 of my Amplified Bible (Classic Edition) copy, tells of the famous escape from Egypt that Moses led. I’ll let you share any similar experience you may have had or how it’s affected you in the comments, but I thought I’d note that the midwives of the Hebrews, or at least, Moses’ parents — they were not afraid of the Pharaoh’s defiant command, as the author of Hebrews writes about (Hebrews 11:23). I think it may have been Apollos who wrote that letter (Timothy is mentioned near the end, for they knew Paul), but whatever.
I went to Awaken tonight, and Tim preached about rewards every Christian will have in the Bema Seat (see 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 for how this works), and he mentioned that the Holy Spirit said our work done in Him is not wasted. Thank God I’ll be handsomely rewarded when I get through a third election standing firm in Jesus by not voting the wrong guy in. And in this case, it’s literally everyone on the ballot, like always. Too bad I’ll likely get flack if someone notices, though… I pray that this kind of obedience isn’t overlooked by too many people here on Earth, either, just as the Israelites were brave enough to keep a lot of their boys alive. Thank God I wasn’t born in that time, for I would’ve been dead! I believe God put me here in this time for a reason, but I don’t know what else He wants me to do besides avoid politics altogether, for many people are hostile to Him, and yes, I need to wrestle against the demonic pressure to disobey God. I might lose a lot, but the good news is, persecution doesn’t mean that your dreams cannot happen. There’s this teaching going around that all Christians face is persecution, and that’s certainly not true; take a look at Acts 18:9-11 when Paul was in Corinth! They also say that when persecution happens, you can’t pursue any dreams anymore. That’s not true, either. Satan would tell you to dismiss the Holy Spirit’s words here, but those who do this will not be forgiven by Him. I’m like, “Wake up, Church…” I’m serious. The practical atheism of this world is always imposed by too many rebellious people, especially if they’re conservative in something, for being conservative is wildly different than being radical. It’s especially true in Christianity.
Well, I’ll leave you with this: please don’t discount something different the Holy Spirit might be saying to you… at least, not too quickly.
