I can’t help but think we’re in danger, for I found out via theatlantic.com last Thursday through a Facebook friend that the Brazilian president is trying to make the fire grow so that the forest is gone 😨😱😰😬😭😭😭 it accounts for tons of oxygen that we’ve got in our atmosphere, and if more trees burn down, we might have some unfixable problems by any human means. My friend, Jamison (he went to Awaken until last spring several months ago; he’s turning 30 next month) called the Amazon rainforest “the world’s lungs.” And I don’t blame him! People don’t believe me, but they either don’t know or are too shocked… or both. But I haven’t told many this… and when I was reading the verses for this post (which are found in page 9 of my NKJV Bible, page 12 of my NASB Bible, page 20 of my VOICE copy, and pages 20-21 of my Amplified Bible (Classic Edition) copy, by the way), I couldn’t help but think of that. For Jesus had contemplated hiding from Abraham the terrifying end of Sodom (verses 17-19) and He let Abraham hear what He was planning to actually go there and see what’s happening (verses 20-21). The “bargain” takes place in verses 23-33, but I put that word on quotation marks because God doesn’t bargain, for He needs nothing from others. Instead, He wanted all to be saved (1 Timothy 2:4), and still does. He never changes (Hebrews 13:8)! Besides, I’m not covering that now…
We also see what some people in Sodom are trying to do to some angels conversing with Lot and his family, but that’s in chapter 19; I won’t cover that one today, either. But another huge reason (and what I think is the main root of the problem) was that Sodom and her neighbours had tons of good but didn’t aid the poor or neglected (Ezekiel 16:49). I wonder how Israel had heard that many years later… nearly 1,400 years had passed between Sodom’s end and Ezekiel’s ministry (spanning from 593-573 B.C.) — but they must’ve behaved the same way that Sodom had done, I don’t know. But many nations behave in ways like this, particularly empires that claim they’re the hope of the world or something. You have to be pretty conceited to believe this, and if you’re not offended by such godless systems, something’s wrong here. True, not everyone knows about that, but I think many multitudes here in the U.S. and in many other parts of the world had their chance. Yet I pray revival in every tribe and nation 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙏🏼👐🏼🤲🏼⛪ also, it may seem ironic that I put a church emoji here, but I believe Jesus is the head of the church still, but only the churches that are approved by Him. Regardless, I wish the churches had been more righteous. Speaking of which, hopefully Sarah and I (and maybe some friends and family members) can start some house churches in the area or across the world, if God wills. I believe He’s called me to make many disciples of Jesus across the earth, much of that being in communities. But hopefully no one needs a church building to believe that it’s a Christian community, for where two or three are gathered in Jesus’ Name, there He is in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20). Also, for some reason, the NKJV Bible I have doesn’t make His words red there like all the others. Nevertheless, I can’t investigate now 🔎🙅🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
An interesting note: when I discovered that the Brazilian president was trying to grow the fire, Jamison found it shocking, and I believe the Holy Spirit spoke to me as I was telling Sarah that the same day, saying that politicians (not just the U.S. leadership) all over the world are trying to help the antichrist rebrand the whole world in his image, and that this is prophesied in Scriptures such as Daniel 11:33-39 and 2 Thessalonians 2:1-8, but I think the antichrist will be Jewish (don’t worry, it’s not Bernie Sanders — the man of sin hasn’t been revealed yet — but I don’t think any politician is Christian in the U.S., so I’m not expecting much of anything, but I can at least pray for some salvations 😎😎😎😎😎 — it’s not as though people should get into leadership to served or anything, and I haven’t seen any hypocrisy from him yet, but I don’t want to endorse anyone, as if I should show exclusive allegiance to them). We don’t know who he is, but I did find out that Cyrus was racially tolerant and accepting of freedom of religion — two things that the president of today has never been completely interested in. I pray for my family and I (and Sarah, Josh, Abby, and their families, of course) that we’re all safe in these trying times… and that I’m not sleeping or extinct in faith or something. For it’s hard for me to be bold in Jesus if I can’t find enjoyment in anything.
